machinesfrombirth is a one-man electronic hardcore act consisting of Mike Adams...

machinesfrombirth released its debut c.d. entitled "Amoeba" in August of 2001 and until December 2001 toured the midwest and the east coast supporting it...Performing in places like Chicago and Washington D.C. has given Adams the strength to do just about anything he wants.

Adams is currently putting the finishing touches on BIRTHFEST. He is also in the studio recording with a not yet disclosed band. A machinesfrombirth E.P. may be ready for sale by the time of BIRTHFEST as well as the debut album "Amoeba" and various other projects by Adams.

20 BIRTHFEST QUESTIONS: answered by Mike Adams
1. If you could have a "love child" with any band member in BIRTHFEST, who would it be and why? Jeremy Caine of Unsigned...Jeremy and I go way back, back to the day if you will...We've played in bands together, shared women, fought each other, worshiped each other. Our love child would rule the world.

2. If you were stranded on a dessert island, what 5 c.d.'s would you need in order to survive? Faith No More "Angel Dust", Drown "Hold on to the Hollow", Blind Melon (self-entitled), Jim Morrison "An American Prayer", Led Zeppelin "re-masters"...I would try to take more than 5.

3. What are your top 3 movies of all time? Vanilla Sky, Fear & Loathing and Almost Famous.

4. If you had to spend on one meal for yourself what would you eat? Large portions of raw meat.

5. If you only had to spend on one meal for yourself what would you eat? $1 deal cheeseburger meal and a coke at McDonalds.

6. What is your favorite book of all time? "Songs of the Doomed" by Hunter S. Thompson.

7. Other than music, what is one thing you enjoy doing with your spare time? Going to small town dive bars to make new friends and enemies...I also like to write. I love words.

8. If you were an animal what would you be? Although I hate reptiles I would probably be most like a snake.

9. FINISH THIS SENTENCE: "ITS NOT A PARTY UNTIL..............? Its not a party until you and your friends puke three times....or until the farm animals are brought out.

10. Who would play your role if they made a movie about your band? Johnny Depp

11. What band would you most like to open for? Any band fronted by Mike Patton.

12. If you were a character in the movie "Pulp Fiction" who would you be? The Bruce Willis character...definitely not Ving's character.

13. Who would be your dream date? At this point, anyone who would go out with me.

14. What is the craziest thing that ever happened at one of your shows? I was in the middle of a show and had this noose around my neck (you know like you would hang yourself with), I was swinging back and forth towards the back of the stage and slipped off...the noose tightened up and I dangled for a second. I didn't miss a beat although it is a small miracle that I didn't actually hang myself publically.

15. What is your favorite drink? It would have to be either Mt. Dew or Beer.

16. Name one thing that not many people know about you that you would like them to know? That sometimes when it seems like i'm being a "dick" its really me just freaked out about being around people or just pre-occupied with my tragedies of life.

17. What was your most embarassing moment? I guess it would be the time that I got all fucked up during a "Dicksville" rehearsal, tried to start a fight with 5 guys at a local bar, broke glass, passed out, vomited all over The Pillbox floor, rolled in it again and again, had the police come and the E.M.T's to make sure I wasn't going to hurt myself or someone else. I was quoted as saying "Don't they know I'm a poet..." and had to have a rescue by my little brother. After that experience I found myself apologizing to everyone that was around me that night and I'm happy to add that I am finally allowed back into "freinds" (the bar). I would say that is a pretty embarassing experience. Wouldn't you?

18. If you could change one thing about the world what would you change? I would create a perfect society by putting mine and Caines love child in control of the world.

19. Give one word that describes your existence? Intense

20. What will be your epitaph? The man who lived too long.
