  biography
Out of the average, everyday existence that is Evansville, Indiana, the beginning of a new millennium saw the birth of a diversely creative quartet aptly named Namaste'. For Tim Mitchell (drums), Steven Sandleben (keys, vocals), Eric Gettings (bass) and Stephen Horning (guitar, vocals), improv based music has been the centerpiece of an incredible journey through self-discovery and the shared experience of one another.

The band's live show is full of energy and technical prowess as they guide the listener through the sub-conscience on a wave of exploratory jazz/rock/funk influenced improvisation. The setlists include mostly original songs which are composed by the whole band. Styles of these songs range from funk to reggae to bluegrass to hard rock, and everything in between. Any cover songs included are usually rare tunes that you just don't get to hear enough, twisted with their own brand of jamming. These live events can best be described by the name Namaste' (nahmah-stay). The word represents, to most who use it, a direct way of telling some one how much they love and respect the experience of them and they understand that we are all apart of one another. Namaste's music helps to create an atmosphere in which love and respect shine through. the audience gets to experience the band, and each other through the music.

Playing small local events and bars, the band has created a strong local following. Their upcoming debut release "Catalyst" will showcase the band's creativity in and outside the studio. It will be the catalyst for a whole era of music made with an honesty and compassion which embody Namaste's eclectic, ever-evolving sound. It will also help the band reach out of their local area with a strong voice, and allow them to spread their spirit-rousing jam experience to new faces.
